Gear Up For the New SES Application Format

Developing the SES application packages and understanding the SES application requirements can be challenging. This class will clearly explain how to develop an SES application and write traditional ECQs or the new five-page resume-bases SES application that qualifies with the QRB.

Learning Objectives:

  • Overview of the SES Application Process and the Qualifications Review Board
  • Overview of the 3 Main Types of SES Applications (Traditional with Executive Federal Resume, ECQs and TQs; the 5-page Resume Based Application; the Accomplishments Narrative)
  • Discussion of the Executive Federal Resume for GS-14/15/equivalents
  • Review of Specialized Applications (SO, SL, CDP, Intel, DoD, others)
  • Developing Accomplishments in the CCAR (Challenge, Context, Action, Result) format for ECQs
  • Developing the 5-page Resume Based SES/ECQ Application
  • Analysis of an SES Announcement Application Procedures (Online, hard copy, email, other)
